Data Path Protection is a data integrity-enhancing Exascend technology.
From the moment data enters the flash storage device from the host until it reaches its resting place in the NAND flash, data passes through many intermediate points where corruption can occur, e.g., the SSD controller, DRAM, and so on.
Exascend’s Data Path Protection introduces additional safeguards against data corruption across the entire data path that the data treads on the way to (and from) the NAND flash. This type of end-to-end data path protection dramatically reduces the risk for data errors, ensuring the highest level of data integrity in applications sensitive to even the lowest levels of corruption.
